Week 1: Teacher Talk Empty Week 1: Teacher Talk

Post by Sheherazade Tue May 24, 2016 6:41 pm

Sheherazade strode down the corridor towards one of the hirable rooms, where, according to the timetable, Caine was running a martial arts class. Or at least that was the wording used. Hera hadn't seen him since he had run off after the end of the group therapy session, and she was worried. At least slightly.

Week 1: Teacher Talk Empty Re: Week 1: Teacher Talk

Caine was leading the admittedly small class in a set of very simple, beginner-level Tai Chi exercises. He wasn't looking at his students and was instead facing the same direction they were. It was clearly a learn-at-your-own-pace kind of class, rather than one with focused instruction.

"So like... You can picture your Ki flowing out through your arms... and floating into like... the universe. It's all energy man." said the teacher, to no one in particular.

Sheherazade leaned against the doorway. There was no point interrupting the class; it was near the end of the allotted time anyway, she could wait.

Finally the class packed up. As the small class made their goodbyes to their instructor and filed out, she slipped into the room and began moving towards Caine.

"Woah, hey there fellow dimensional traveler. I'm sorry, but you kinda missed the lesson. It was a good one too. Moved a lot of ki around in here am I right?"

Caine didn't seem phased at all by Sheherazade walking in to the room. He was relaxed and had the tone of greeting an old friend.

Sheherazade nodded and gave a slightly strained smile. "I'm sure it was, although I wasn't coming to join your class I'm afraid. I simply wanted to check on you after the incident." While she spoke, her eyes not so much drifted as darted around Caine, although what she was looking for, if anything, was difficult to tell.

((Attempting a body language reading roll to guage how Caine may be feeling. Skill level 60))

((EDIT: Body language reading is Hera's obsession skill, so I can switch the digits and that 95 becomes 59, 1 under my skill level. Pass very well.))

Week 1: Teacher Talk Empty Re: Week 1: Teacher Talk

Caine's body language was remarkably easy to read. He was relaxed and open, without any signs of aggression or deceit. If anything, Caine was too relaxed and moved a little clumsily, but also too slowly to actually look like he was doing anything but exactly what he aimed to do.

"That is really cool of you. I was like, really freaking out for a while, but once I re-centered myself and remembered to be open to the universe and its mysteries, I was totally fine. I looked up some stuff online about dimensional slips and crow people... but no dice yet. It's like, were is this information? I mean this is like... the future we're living in and I can't even find out if crows are ghosts, aliens or like bigfoot or something. I'm gonna have to get all wikipedia and make a blog for this stuff so other people can read about it when they have freaky group crow hallucinations."

There was a pause for breath and for Caine to check if Sheherazade's eyes had glazed over like so many peoples' did when he spoke about his quest for truth.

"You?" he asked, probably asking about how the experience affected Sheherazade, but maybe also asking if she had a paranormal blog he could subscribe to.

Sheherazade's hadn't appeared to glaze over at all. Indeed she seemed impressively focused on him...possibly him not the words he was saying. As she finished she gave a small, elegent shrugging motion.

"I found the experience surprising." she said simply. "Judging from our companion's reactions, I don't think that Catyr the crow was responsible for the event...nor do I think that this was solely a hallucination."
